PBS Masterpiece has acquired the North American distribution rights to the new 4 - episode BBC thriller “A Very English Scandal“. This drama is scripted by David Hare ([The Reader]). It tells the story of Peter Laurence (played by Hugh Laurie), a charismatic Conservative government minister. Even when his personal life is shamelessly exposed by his opponents, he still doesn't care. While his competitors try to bring him down, he continues to pursue his ambitions.
