The WB and UPN (which later merged to form the current CW) once aired the 3 - season sci - fi youth drama “Roswell“. This year, CW announced that it will develop a reboot of the series. Like the old version, the new “Roswell“ is also adapted from the “Roswell High“ novel series written by Melinda Metz, with Carina Adly MacKenzie in charge of writing the script. In the new “Roswell“, the female protagonist Liz Ortecho (played by Jeanine Mason), a biomedical researcher, reluctantly returns to her hometown, Roswell. She discovers that her former crush has become a police officer, and he is actually an alien who has been hiding his true identity with his own abilities. Liz decides to keep the hero's secret and helps him investigate his origin. However, after a violent attack and a government cover - up, the protagonists realize that there are more aliens on Earth. Fear and hatred may destroy the relationship they've rebuilt and expose the hero's true identity as an alien.
